{ Apple Cider Vinegar }

Until now, you may have seen Apple Cider Vinegar in your pantry and thought its uses only went as far as playing a small role in a recipe here and there.. But little did you know, this wonderful product has been used as a healing elixir since 400 B.C!!!  You can quote me on that!  Apple Cider Vinegar was used by the father of modern medicine, Hippocrates, for many things.  It's been used all throughout history, and still today!   I have listed below the many ways you can incorporate ACV in your life. Not all apple cider vinegar brands are created equal! Make sure to always purchase Organic Braggs ACV with "The Mother,"  which is the dark, cloudy substance you see floating around in the bottle. It's presence shows that the best part of the apple was not destroyed via heat or filtration.  

"The Mother" is the most nutritious part of ACV! 

  • Helps prevent stomach flu/illness 
  • Increased hair body & shine if used as a hair rinse
  •  Regulates the pH of your skin
  • Helps decrease acne scars and sun spots
  • Minimizes appearance of pores
  • Eliminates bad breath  
  • Removes stains from teeth
  • Aids in weight loss & decrease in abdominal fat
  • Balances entire inner body system by helping the body maintain a healthy alkaline pH level
  • Increases energy 
  • Detoxifies the body
  • Fades bruises
  • Stimulates cardiovascular circulation and helps to detox the liver
  • Helps break up mucous throughout the body and clean out lymph nodes
  • Reduces effects of allergies and risk of sinus infections & head colds

As you can see, the uses are on going! I won't lie to you though, the taste is pretty awful { at first..or maybe always }.  I have only gotten used to it after taking 2 TBSP daily. I mix it with 8 ounces of water, and voila!  For those of you who may not be used to the lovely sour taste, I recommend mixing your ACV cocktail with juice from a lemon, cinnamon, & honey.  This combination should make it a little more bearable.  I dare you to start taking 1 TSP/per day internally, see how you do and report any changes/improvements in your body!   I would be excited to hear about your experiences!

    I make a drink just about daily that is actually pretty tasty! Fill a quart jar with water, add 2-3 tblsp ACV, sweeten to taste (I use Trader Joe’s organic liquid stevia), 1 tsp ginger, and 1 fruit flavored herbal tea bag (like Celestial Seasoning’s raspberry zinger). Add ice cubes as needed. You can start with just one tblsp ACV to get used to the taste. I sip on it all day long! So refreshing!
